Dr. Timothy A. Brusseau Ph.D.

Timothy A. Brusseau, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor and Director in the Department of Health, Kinesiology, and Recreation at the University of Utah. He is a former public school health and physical education teacher and coach. He now trains future physical education teachers and physical activity experts. He is the Director of the Physical Activity Research Lab which has a primary focus on examining the physical activity behaviors of children and designing/implementing school-based programming intended to improve both health and academic outcomes. He has 98 peer reviewed publications on topics related to youth physical activity and has made more than 150 presentations to local, national, and international audiences. Dr. Brusseau reside in Herriman, UT with his wife Megan and children Cooper (8) and Adalyn (3).
